There is nothing worse than finding yourself stuck in a monotonous cycle of repetitive dullness. Eat, sleep, work, repeat, is a loop that can really beat the joy out of a perfectly joyful day, leaving you feeling exhausted and unsatisfied.
Yet, things don't have to be this way! The world is a non-stop and unpredictable ball of chaos, beauty, and chance. There is always something new to be discovered and explored that will bring a sense of freshness and excitement to one's life. Whether it be going for a hike, tootling down a nature trail, flying to another continent, jumping out of a plane, or simply deciding to hop in the car and drive for hours in a unknown direction, there is a new experience waiting for you on the other side.
Speaking from personal experience, it only takes thirty seconds of pondering an idea before I fall into a downward spiral of overthinking things, "what ifs", and ultimately convince myself that I'd be better off not doing anything at all. It's better to be safe than sorry, right?
Wrong. After years of living by this rule, I've discovered that there is far too much to be done, seen, and experienced to be pushed to the side and forgotten about. And it is the decisions that I have made spontaneously that have made the greatest memories. There is something to be said for the rush of adrenaline and spark of joy that is brought to you when you simply decide to do something, and then do it.
I believe that a live without spontaneity or risk is equivalent to sitting in a chair and watching paint dry. Not to say that planning and precaution are not important practices, but the greatest way to break through the dull, drying paint of life, is to stand up, grab a handful of colors, and splatter paint the shit out of that wall. Otherwise meaning: Be Spontaneous, take control, and take chances.
Time waits for no one, so make the most of it...
